Another great night to suffer. haha We had a fast night with the trail stewards blowing the gravel off. Slight 2-3 mph tailwind too. We rode to West Liberty. TT was back to Urbana. The legs were meh on the way up. I sent the guys off at 30 second intervals. No expectation for me. I started last and in the first few seconds, I knew I was on a great night. 21.5 mph avg in 11.68 miles on a fat bike rocks! New PR. Yeah! The guys did a great job! These events have been huge in the bigger races we do. What a year!

Fun ride at MoMBA after a rest day. I was the only one there for the first half of my ride. Fall is 5 days away. The leaves are falling, but the temps say August. hehe I hopped on my Madone for Ride # 2 around Fundalia with a few in the saddle intervals. Mad Cow SKT tomorrow.

Good day in the saddle yesterday. I did a hour on the road bike from JB. Hit the South Legbreaker roads. Love them hills. Another 45 minutes of warm up then we raced in the dark. Pavement start with Big Tim counting it off then attacking on the E-Bike. Half mile to the trail. Tim & Josh went in first followed my Mark. I cruised for a bit then settled in. After a few minutes I was on fire. I felt great. The bike felt incredible with my cornering darn good. 13.3 mph avg in the dark. Yeah! The guys rode great. What a blast!

I had plans to race my TT bike tonight, but I'm fighting a head cold since last week. The legs continue to be strong tho. 21.1 mph avg. Yeah! It's a lot of work on pavement, but at the same time rewarding. Another fat bike victory. So much fun. I was going to stop racing Blue Streak after so many years on the tt bike. Fat bike is challenging. Next April will be my goal on the tt bike to crush it. I may do the final Blue Streak on the tt bike. We'll see how long I can keep this peak. People think I've gotten slower, but I'm putting out my best power numbers. Try and do that avg on a fat bike. LOL I'm having a blast! Mooooo!

Awesome day in St. John's Michigan with Josh & The Beast. 800 racers. I took 2nd Place with Josh 3rd in 57 mile Fat Bike class. 20.1 mph avg. Yeah! We missed catching the group ahead where the 1st Place Fat Bike was. It was a bit chaotic at the start. We stayed close for the first half. Our group diminished tho and we lost time on the way back. Josh and I put in a lot of work. I finished 12 seconds ahead of him during the crazy two track to the line. Sean 23.8 avg on his gravel bike. 26th place overall / 5th 50-59. A flying rock hit Josh's eye breaking his sunglasses, but he is ok. Another rock flew off the guy in front of me breaking off my Go Pro. Couldn't stop to get it at 25 mph. I had some good footage too. I took some vid on the I Phone after that. New camera on the way tho. This race was not planned. Bonus. I also had a head cold. I didn't feel great except my legs, but that's a great average speed for 57 miles. 2nd place is A OK. Josh and Sean killed it! What a great 6 weeks of racing!

What a night. It's been 3 years since we raced the out n back gravel loop in Farmersville. Awesome weather. Anthony road was perfect. Big Tim counted us down. Sean took off on his gravel bike. Zoom! Josh followed while I stayed with Big Tim on his E-MTB, We caught Josh on lap 1. The laps flew by as I cheered everyone coming at us. Josh, Big Tim & I finished together at 18.5 mph. We were delayed by two trucks and a tractor which cut our avg speed. Sean crushed it at 19.9 avg. Howard, Buz, & Tebow came in all smiles in 5th, 6th, & 7th places. 22 miles of dirt. Boy were we covered in it too, Mooohahaha Great warm up for Sunday's race. Good times!
