Weekend Wrap Up

Busy day Saturday.  I hit Rouvy for 30 minutes in the am then a fun Fat Bike afternoon ride. I put in some good intervals. Power numbers looked good. 61 degrees. Yeah! Chilly Sunday. Howard & I kicked off March with a fun fatty hill ride. I miss the opening days of March. We reminisced about the old Ramble days. Some great memories. I do miss it. Great ride today!

TT Friday

Busy day with killer weather. Sunshine & 64 degrees. I got out late afternoon for a 20 miler on the TT bike after a rest day. First ride testing out the new TT bars. Silver Bullet felt great. Now to get some saddle time on it before TT's start.

Fat Bike Wednesday

 

52 degrees with 30 mph winds. If the wind was South I would have taken out my tt bike for a few KOM defenses. haha In a few months we are doing some very hilly gravel races. Hill rides started tonight. Fun 21 mile fatty hill ride. We hit all the  with a hills & gravel sections around Englewood dam. 1,300 ft. of climbing. Seated climbing tonight. Reminds me of the good old days with MtHd. That was over 2 decades ago now. Wow! Buz & Josh did well. 1 hour 52 mins in the saddle. The legs felt good.

Stole another one before the melt. 3rd day in a row of fatty snowy fun. Luckily the sun stayed away during the ride. Sun came out as I finished. Amazing how fast things melted as I drove home. haha Good stuff!

Double Ride Monday

40 minutes on Rouvy this morning spinning the legs followed by a fun 1 hour 15 fatty snow ride late afternoon. 29 degrees with wind chill in low 20's. I was toasty warm. Love custom Mad Cow Winter gear.  I'm excited to get rolling for Spring, but I'll miss the snow. I relish the solo Winter rides. Me against the elements. Some great river views. The wildlife is quite busy too. My fav tunes in one ear while pondering so many things from season's goals to life's mysteries. Man I love to ride!

Weekend Wrap Up

Back on the bike Saturday after 3 rest days. It was rough at first, but by halfway I woke up. 22 miler on Rouvy riding Paris Roubaix cobbles. 15 miles on Rouvy Sunday morning followed by a 1 hour 10 minute fatty snow ride. The wind was howling at 15 degree wind chill.  Winter is on it's last few weeks, but always nice getting in a snow ride. I finished the day off at 9:20 p.m. with Zwift TT. 10 miles. PR on the course. Missing the win by 4 seconds. I didn't feel great, but a good sign after training camp.
