Casstown Tuesday

Another awesome day with upper 70's & sunshine. I got in a few intervals. 1 KOM. Missed two others  by 2 seconds. No tailwind either. I'll be back as the KOM holder had a good tailwind. Ride # 1 was 21 miles. I  hopped on my 2005 5.5 Madone built up with 9 speed for ride # 2. I rode just a few seconds then my shifter locked up. Argggg. Parts fell out. Bummer. Those were mint used and in working order, but it is old. I got on Ebay later. I found a new old stock Ultegra 9 speed rear shifter. Yeah! This bike is mint for 21 years old. Fun stuff!

Double Monday

Back on the trails after 2 weeks. Fun fatty ride at MoMBA with Big Tim. The weather was killer! Tim was fltying on that E-Bike. Ride # 2 on the TT bike. I've had a nagging foot injury which has hampered my race schedule the last few months. Simple riding is ok, but my foot hurts after all out intervals / efforts. It's better, but not much fun. I still set a new KOM on the 2 lap velodrome segment. It's technical at high speed on the TT bike. haha Good day of riding!

Weekend Wrap Up

 Back on the bike Friday. Busy day, but got out to defend 1 KOM in Brookville. 2 more to go over that way. Good effort! I took another rest day Saturday. Sunday was on the fat bike in Liberty, Indiana for some gravel fun. 41 miles on my fav roads. Good tempo ride.

Ramblin' Wednesday

 Stole another one. We rode around the rain. 30+ miles from P-Hill with The Beast, Joshium, & T.Bolt. Lots of sprints. The rain came down as we drove home. Mooohahaha!

Blue Streak TT

 

Wow a race! haha It's been almost a month. My schedule is crazy this year and a ton of events are the same day ot a day after a gig. Other than Cow events  and Blue Streak's, I don't know if I'll do any races the rest of 2026. Time will tell.  The warm up was kind of  meh. I headed for the start. Tebow sent me off. The first few pedal strokes were not great, but but by the first mile, I started feeling good. Finished really well. Pretty happy with that effort setting a new PR for the year of 20.7 mph avg. Pretty darn good on a fat bike. What a workout. haha T.Bolt & Buz did great. Sean won the TT with 29.6 mph. WOW!

Brookville Monday

The rain rolled through leaving sunshine in the afternoon. Fun 22 miler through Verona & Gordon. Set a new KOM too on rough chip n seal. Good 2 mile effort. New parts arrive tomorrow for a few road bikes.  Attack mode on a few segments I've been saving. Moooohahaha!

Medway Sunday

Well earned sleep in Sunday. Rain was on & off. I worked on bikes in the garage. I had a window, so I got in a 20 miler from Medway late this afternoon. I could see the rain coming at me. I raced back to the truck. I hammered Three Pronunciation Road segment. Missed the KOM by 1 seciond. Seems to be my norm lately. haha 30 mph avg. Good watts. I didn't have much of a tailwind either. Started raining as I drove home. Stole another one! I'm happy to be getting in 20 milers with all the muggy weather. Argggg Halfway through August.
