Twin Towers Saturday

 Busy Saturday, but I got ouyt after the rain for a 23 miler. Back to Twin Towers Park. Love those roads.  The roads have been chip n sealed, but still fun. The short hills are always good for the legs. I put in a few intervals missing both KOM's by 1 secon d each. haha No wind, so the watts were pretty darn good. It was muggy again. It got worse in the evening at my gig. No wind outside. haha

Back to Brookville for a 27 miler. Sunshine for a change. Lower humidity too. More rain coming which means no single track for a bit. Arggg. Lots of roads to ride tho. Moooohaha

Cow Country Thursday

 Another busy day, but I got out before the rain returned. 20 miler from Bethel in Cow Country. Another ride on the 5.9 Madone. This bike kicks ass. Rim brakes rule. I'll be back on my Emonda next week. Ordered new rotors. my 5,9 Madone is so light & responsive. If it were aero shaped it would be faster than today's bikes. Fun stuff! I worked my way West near old PECO then down Rudy. Up Jay's Climb NE to Walnut Grove. Tonight was a trip down memory lane. I don't look back too often. This year's had me contemplating life in many ways. When your parents are suffering it's tough. It's hard to believe I'm 54. It's crazy I'm still riding these roads. So many battles and characters. I miss the Ramble Days. Post Ramble racing got crazy. I was fortunate to win many TT's, gravel, & MTB events over the years. That era was special though. Every Wednesday was epic. Thanks to everyone who came out. I hope you are all doing well. I headed back to Bethel via The Cow Hill, Hamnmer Head Hill, & Pisgah Hill for a change. Seated tempo efforts. The legs felt good. I got back to the school then hopped on my TT bike for a 3 mile spin. It's been a few weeks. Just wanted to make sure position was still good. The rain started as I pulled away. Stole another one!

Brookville Wednesday

 

2 days of rain, but it finally ended around 5 this afternoon. 23 miler from Brookville on the 5.9 Madone. 71 degrees felt great. So much flooding. Wow!

Fatty MoMBA Monday

Rain was projected at 4:45. I got to MoMBA around that time. Got in over a hour & 5 minutes. No rain. 93 degrees. Humidity was crazy. Only had that much time to ride, but good tempo ride on the trails. Air conditioning felt great after. haha

Weekend Round Up

Hot & humid weekend. It was also a busy one, but I got ouyt both days. Short 15 miler from Twin Towers. It's been awhile. I did the north part of the Leg Breaker route. Hard to believe it's been 20 years since that epic race day. I cruised around in the heat. 92 degrees. I then headed straight to my gig. 3 hours of drumming in that heat on concrete. lol I got out late Sunday afternoon in Casstown for a 23 miler. Same thing. HOT HOT HOT! Summer is now off season now since I work in the heat all week long plus my gigs are on the races I wanted to do. arggg. Still got in a 10+ hour week on the bike.  Looking forward to Fall.

Fatty Momba Thursday

 Exhausting work day in the heat & humidity. Got in 70 minutes at MoMBA. Sweatty sweaty sweaty ride. haha Good 4 days block.
