Hi Point Tuesday

 The heat returned today. 92 degrees. I drove up to Arcanum. I did A 36 miler straight West to the highest point of Indiana. I did that last year too. Head / cross wind going out. A little push coming home. Amazing if you don't know where the park is, you'd miss it. No signs. Woods with a the hi point rock off the road. haha  I signed the register. Neat little park in the woods. Coming home had my long shadow in front of me as I headed East.  I reclaimed a KOM I lost. Man I gave it everything as the wind wasn't ideal. Ouch! Anpother good ride on the books!

Cow Country Monday

 

No humidity, Wow! Beautiful day. Fall was in the air, but of course Summer returns tomorrow. lol 30 miler in Cow Country. I rolled from Bethel HS then NE through New Carlisle. East wind at 5 mph. I hit a few short segments. Pretty good efforts. 2nd place & a KOM. I put in a long interval on Lefevre. Brand new pavement. I rolled back Gearhart then up The Cow Hill, Hammer Head Hill, & Rudy.  Long shadows heading East. Lots of Halloween decorations already. Fall is coming.

Weekend Wrap Up

Back on the bike Friday. Fun fatty ride at TMBA. it's been 20 months since I rode the trails. We raced the prairie last Fall one time. The park has gone through quite a change with ODNR tree removal and native grasses project. Still, I missed it. Fall is almost here so more riding coming. Good stuff! I did a quick TT spin. Tim did a great job, Bike felt great! 

Saturday I had a private gig in Wilmington. Rainy day, but I stole a 20 miler after set up. New drive chain felt great. Thanks again Big Tim! Started raining as I got in ther truck. Stole one! We had a good gig too. Josh & I got in a fun 2 hour fatty gravel. Some good intervals in there. Oh yeah!

Wednesday Quickie

Storms were heading this way. I got in a quickie to spin the legs out after last night. I then headed to Big Tim's. Tim fixed 5 of my bikes. Big Tim's Bike Shop rules! Mooooo!

Blue Streak TT - Fatty Style

I felt better today. 24 hour stomach bug. The weather was too nice not to race. I had to take my Alumium Farley as my Carbon Farley's BB was not spinning at all. Put a new one in over the Winter so who knows. No matter. We did the out n back tonight which I love. I got up to speed fast with a South tailwind. The legs felt good. The last 2 miles to the finish always tells the truth. I gave it my all. 20,5 avg. That's including the turn around which costs .3-.4 mph avg. Good effort! T.Bolt & Tebow did great tonight too. Mooooo!

Weekend Wrap Up

 Fun fatty gravel ride in Liberty Saturday after a rest day. It was hot. 97 degrees. I got in 28 miles then called it as severe storms rolled in.  Sunday I  took a few bikes to Bethel working on position. I then did a 20 miler in Cow Country. New KOM on Scarff South. 2 seconds faster with not much wind 13 years later. haha I took a rest day on Labor Day. Ate something that did not agree with me. Argggg!

Fatty MoMBA Thursday

 Another scorcher. I waited until evening when it was only 97 degrees to ride. lol  I had shade in the woods. Fun ride at MoMBA. I worked my way on Twisted & MR. Zig Zag then into Hawk's Lair. I did 10 laps on the ridge. I put in some efforts as the laps got faster. Pretty happy how my bike handling felt. Possibly returning to do the TMBA 4 Hour at the end of the month. Just announced Mad Cow Halloween Fat Bike Race too. More single track rides in the schedule. Moooo!
