Catching Up

 

Catching up. We had a fun ride Thursday at TMBA until I got stung by ground hornets. Got in a hour with my foot in pain. Swelling was bad Friday. Stayed off it elevating & icing. Swelling was back down Saturday. Another fatty ride at TMBA. I had plans to race the 4 hour at TMBA Sunday. Let’s just say the vibes weren’t there, so  I packed up then headed to Liberty for some fatty gravel intervals. Some good efforts with 3 KOM's. I packed up then straight to my gig at DAI Octoberfest Sunday night. We've closed the festival for many years now. Great weather! Back at TMBA for a 2 hour / 25 miler today. The legs felt good. I had the trails to myself. The vibe was much better. haha Mooooo!

Belgian B-Ville Tuesday

Rainy Monday which ended up being a rest day to close out Summer. Hello Fall. Wow! Cloudy, rainy at times with temps around 65. 20 miler with 4 x 2nd places on segments. Chip n seal rolls like crap. haha Not many road rides left. Fat Bike Season is coming! Mooohahaha

Weekend Wrap Up

Back on the bike Saturday after a rest day Friday. I stole two rides. 2 hours at TMBA. The Jungle was the only trail with standing water. I've missed riding there. The rain poured as I loaded my truck. haha I drove South to Vandalia. The rain hadn't reached there, so I had my TT bike with me as well. I got in a 7 miler testing ther new adjustments. The rain hit as I drove off again. haha Stole both. Fun ride in Liberty today with Joshium & Tebow. We hit the segments. Josh & I had some KOM's. It's been fun riding there every week for the last month. Great prep for upcoming gravel races.

P-Hill Thursday

 Fun 26 miler from Pleasant Hill with Josh. Hopefully that's the last crazy hot day of Summer. First real ride on my 2005 5.2 Madone. New shifter and left crank. 9 speed racing triple like I used to have. Set a KOM on it tonight too. Saweeet bike!  Mooooo!

Fatty TMBA Wednesday

 

1st Fat Bike Wednesday of Fall tonight. We stole about 50 minutes before severe weather rolled in. The guys were flying. We had a blast. There's something special about that place. So many great memories there. Yeah!

Hi Point Tuesday

 The heat returned today. 92 degrees. I drove up to Arcanum. I did A 36 miler straight West to the highest point of Indiana. I did that last year too. Head / cross wind going out. A little push coming home. Amazing if you don't know where the park is, you'd miss it. No signs. Woods with a the hi point rock off the road. haha  I signed the register. Neat little park in the woods. Coming home had my long shadow in front of me as I headed East.  I reclaimed a KOM I lost. Man I gave it everything as the wind wasn't ideal. Ouch! Anpother good ride on the books!
