Fatty Farmersville Thursday

 Late day, but had just enough time to get one in. 3 laps with Tebow. He was on his gravel bike. Sunshine and 71 yet again. Yeah! No wind. Tim & I enjoyed the evening chatting about various thiungs. The race course is cooler now that chip n seal is on Baden & Lower Gratis Roads. That's about the only time I like chip n seal. hehe We finished up to a killer sunset. That loop is so much fun in the Fall. Great views. Good stuff!

Fatty Hayes Wednesday

Back to Hayes. Trail crew did a great job. Only 1 tree down which is a huge improvement. I used to be at Hayes weekly, but the trails had a ton of fallen trees this year. Sunny & 71 again. Yeah! Josh & I had the trails to ourselves. Lots of leaves & twigs, but Josh was plowing through it at high speed. 1 hour 43 minutes of fatty fun. Hayes is my fav place. 1,000 ft. of climbing too. Mooooo!

Double Tuesday

 Another awesome day. I headed to TMBA. I had the trails to myself. Oh yeah! I ran my night race course. Section 180, Adventure Loop, Jungle, Rivers Edge, & Barn trail. I've pushed down the leaves pretty well on those trails. Good traction & speed. 1 hour 15 minutes /15 miles in the books. Ride # 2 I hopped on the TT bike for 20 minutes. I tested out the new changes to the front cockpit. Trying new things, so everything is set for next year. Fun stuff!

Fatty MoMBA Monday

 Beautiful day with sunshine & 71 degrees. 90 minute solo fatty fun at MoMBA. After all these years Creekside is still one of my fav trails. The trails were still clean. I'll probably be back tomorrow too.  I wish every day was 71 degrees & sunny. lol Good stuff!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday was a perfect rest day. Rainy & cold. Sunshine & 54 Saturday. I put in my first trainer ride of the off season in the morning. Another fun ride at TMBA.3rd time in a week. lol I could have sat on the couch all day. I got in a fun 3 lapper in Farnersville. 64 degrees felt nice compared to yeaterday. Good tempo ride with seated climbing up the Wall each lap. I hit Anthony Rd. gravel segment in reverse. New PR by n7 seconds and 2nd place on the segment. Too many potholes to get the KOM. Maybe try it next Spring after the repair the road. 1,100 ft. of climbing. Love that route. Fun stuff!

Fatty TMBA Thursday

Fun 20 miler at TMBA with Joshium. Trails were killer. Only 1 sorta slick corner. The leaves are falling. Hopefully not too fast. Always fun riding there in the Fall & Winter. Mooooo!

Wednesday Quickie

I stole a 30 minute ride on the commuter around the plat before the rain poured buckets. I'm still  a bit fatigued from illness, but legs felt great.  Nasty cold. It's been a week, so not much to go.

Blue Streak TT - Fatty Style

 

Final Blue Streak of the year in the books. I'm still not 100% from this head cold, but ya gotta try. Hot & windy. I did a long warm up, but not much energy. First mile was all head wind. I settled in feeling meh, but the legs were good. 321 avg watts to the first gate. Westward to gate # 2 at 21.1 avg. Going North was tailwind. I saved some for the final 2 miles of head wind. Last stretch all out to the line at 325 avg watts. 20.7 mph avg. 6 out of 7 Blue Streak's on the fat bike. Fun stuff. What a workout! I did the first TT in April on the TT bike for 4th place. I'll do that again next year as well. Maybe May too. That's about it tho after all these years. I'm proud of years of top placings & 2 victories. Sean killed it tonight taking 1st. Impressive stuff! Great job Jeff & Speedy Feet as all racers.

Double Monday

A few Summeer days have shown up. Back at it after resting yesterday. My head cold is much better. Ride # 1 at TMBA. I had the trails to myself. The groundhogs have taken over. Only thing to do is yell now & then to scare them off. I got in a hour & 4 minutes. Ride # 2 in Fundalia on my warehouse loop. 30 minutes on the 2005 Madone 5,2 SL. That bike is bad ass. So cool running new old stock 9 speed Ultegra. Yeah!

Fatty Farmersville Saturday

Got in a 3 lap /1,100 ft. of climbing Saturday ride on the MCR race course. My head cold was still meh, but slowly improving. The legs are good though. That loop is great training for gravel racing. The pavement sections are chip n seal on Anthony Rd. Be here a lot for the next 4-5 months prepping for 2027 gravel. Fun stuff!

Fatty Momba Friday

 

Back on the bike after a sick day. Bad head cold. I did an easy ride tonight. I felt better as the ride went on. The bike position felt really good. My tempo laps on Hawk's Lair Ridge were within 1 seconds or two. By the end of the ride I felt so much better. Glad to be at the end of this thing. Never fun. Trails were great though. Fall colors are coming out.

Ramblin' Wednesday

82 degrees & sunshine in October. Nice! The air was filled with dust from harvesting. 33 miler with The Beast & Joshium from P-Hill. The guys hit some segments. I sweated out a minor head cold. Arggg. Hoping to feel better tomorrow.  Crazy the first week of October is gone. November is getting closer. Not many of these days left.

Fatty MoMBA Tuesday

 Back on the bike after a rest day. Longer work days this time of year until we close for the season. I was able to get in a70 minute fatty ride at MoMBA before sunset. Trails were killer. Fall's in full swing for sure. October is my fav month. I love when it's sunny every day with temps 65-75. Yeah!

Rode to Hell Gravel Race - Fat Bike Style

Fun Mad Cow road trip to Michigan. What a difference compared to last year,  450+ racers this year. Wow! Sunshine with temps 60 at the start. 43 mile Fat Bike. Josh, Nick, & Tebow joined me. We started on a grass two track then on to gravel. We were held upa bit then chased for a few miles. I got on to the front group. I needed 8-10 seconds breather then the group split. I missed the boat tho. They rolled away. I worked with 4 other guys for 8-10 miles then a huge group of 25+ caught us. It was a huge pack all the way to the finish. I hammered the grass track to the finish. 346 avg watts on that section. Yeah! I took 3rd place at 20.1 mph avg. 1st & 2nd were legit guys. Bummed I missed the split, but I felt good. Good race! Sean won the 50 -59 in the 70 miler including 8th overall. Josh, Nick & Tebow were 4th, 5th, & 6th in my Fat Bike class. We went through Hell during the race. We went back to check out the gtown & ift shop. Fun stuff. Great job fellas!

Beautiful Fall day with sunshine & 70 degrees. 3 laps on the Mad Cow Ramble Farmersville course. 1,100 ft. of climbing. Steady tempo ride. I felt better than yesterday. We will see how tomorrow gies. There's some fast fat bike dudes registered. No matter the result I'm looking forward to racing & having fun! Mooooo!
