Fatty Friday

 The rain rolled through leaving very Fall like weather. Low 60's, cloudy with no humidity. Short Fundalia fatty ride. New sealant did the trick plugging some small leaks on front tire after Sunday's ride. I put in 3 intervals. Good efforts even though I wasn't that motivated. haha I love the short segments around Demmitt. Still need 2 seconds for that KOM. One corner always gets me somewhere on that KOM. haha Good efforts prepping for Sunday.

Fatty Hayes Thursday

 

Hello October! Haven't been back to Hayes since April. The trails were in bad shape then. Well, still downed trees, but it wasn't overgrown. Fat bikes were perfect with all the leaves & sticks down. Summer day at 86 degrees. Josh & I had a fun ride.  We might join the trail team next year. It's my fav place to ride out of town. I've missed it. Hopefully go back this month.

B-Ville Wednesday

Wow the last day of September. Fast & busy month. I was bummed to miss so many races due to my gig schedule, but that's been the story of the year too. Fun 25 miler from Brookville. Harvest is in full swing. Slowly the corn is coming down. 1 moth until the time change. I'm happy Fall is here. I took out the Emonda. I hit some aegments with 3 KOM's. Sunset was nice. October tomorrow. Mooooo!

Cow Country Tuesday

 Recovery ride in Cow Country on my 1986 Trek Pro Series. Big Tim did a killer job. First ride with the new 8 speed STI levers with Shimano 600. The 6 speed was not good. lol This 8 speed is killer! Bummer T,Bolt is injured. Mad Cow Ramble Retro TT next year for sure.

Fatty TMBA Monday Video

Catching Up

 

Catching up. We had a fun ride Thursday at TMBA until I got stung by ground hornets. Got in a hour with my foot in pain. Swelling was bad Friday. Stayed off it elevating & icing. Swelling was back down Saturday. Another fatty ride at TMBA. I had plans to race the 4 hour at TMBA Sunday. Let’s just say the vibes weren’t there, so  I packed up then headed to Liberty for some fatty gravel intervals. Some good efforts with 3 KOM's. I packed up then straight to my gig at DAI Octoberfest Sunday night. We've closed the festival for many years now. Great weather! Back at TMBA for a 2 hour / 25 miler today. The legs felt good. I had the trails to myself. The vibe was much better. haha Mooooo!

Belgian B-Ville Tuesday

Rainy Monday which ended up being a rest day to close out Summer. Hello Fall. Wow! Cloudy, rainy at times with temps around 65. 20 miler with 4 x 2nd places on segments. Chip n seal rolls like crap. haha Not many road rides left. Fat Bike Season is coming! Mooohahaha

Weekend Wrap Up

Back on the bike Saturday after a rest day Friday. I stole two rides. 2 hours at TMBA. The Jungle was the only trail with standing water. I've missed riding there. The rain poured as I loaded my truck. haha I drove South to Vandalia. The rain hadn't reached there, so I had my TT bike with me as well. I got in a 7 miler testing ther new adjustments. The rain hit as I drove off again. haha Stole both. Fun ride in Liberty today with Joshium & Tebow. We hit the segments. Josh & I had some KOM's. It's been fun riding there every week for the last month. Great prep for upcoming gravel races.

P-Hill Thursday

 Fun 26 miler from Pleasant Hill with Josh. Hopefully that's the last crazy hot day of Summer. First real ride on my 2005 5.2 Madone. New shifter and left crank. 9 speed racing triple like I used to have. Set a KOM on it tonight too. Saweeet bike!  Mooooo!

Fatty TMBA Wednesday

 

1st Fat Bike Wednesday of Fall tonight. We stole about 50 minutes before severe weather rolled in. The guys were flying. We had a blast. There's something special about that place. So many great memories there. Yeah!

Hi Point Tuesday

 The heat returned today. 92 degrees. I drove up to Arcanum. I did A 36 miler straight West to the highest point of Indiana. I did that last year too. Head / cross wind going out. A little push coming home. Amazing if you don't know where the park is, you'd miss it. No signs. Woods with a the hi point rock off the road. haha  I signed the register. Neat little park in the woods. Coming home had my long shadow in front of me as I headed East.  I reclaimed a KOM I lost. Man I gave it everything as the wind wasn't ideal. Ouch! Anpother good ride on the books!

Cow Country Monday

 

No humidity, Wow! Beautiful day. Fall was in the air, but of course Summer returns tomorrow. lol 30 miler in Cow Country. I rolled from Bethel HS then NE through New Carlisle. East wind at 5 mph. I hit a few short segments. Pretty good efforts. 2nd place & a KOM. I put in a long interval on Lefevre. Brand new pavement. I rolled back Gearhart then up The Cow Hill, Hammer Head Hill, & Rudy.  Long shadows heading East. Lots of Halloween decorations already. Fall is coming.

Weekend Wrap Up

Back on the bike Friday. Fun fatty ride at TMBA. it's been 20 months since I rode the trails. We raced the prairie last Fall one time. The park has gone through quite a change with ODNR tree removal and native grasses project. Still, I missed it. Fall is almost here so more riding coming. Good stuff! I did a quick TT spin. Tim did a great job, Bike felt great! 

Saturday I had a private gig in Wilmington. Rainy day, but I stole a 20 miler after set up. New drive chain felt great. Thanks again Big Tim! Started raining as I got in ther truck. Stole one! We had a good gig too. Josh & I got in a fun 2 hour fatty gravel. Some good intervals in there. Oh yeah!

Wednesday Quickie

Storms were heading this way. I got in a quickie to spin the legs out after last night. I then headed to Big Tim's. Tim fixed 5 of my bikes. Big Tim's Bike Shop rules! Mooooo!
