MCR TT # 7

 Hot Mad Cow Ramble TT # 7. Tough course. The guys killed it. 9th day in a row. The legs were certainly not fresh. I started on fire. I hit a bump after 2 miles. Nose of my saddle tilted down. Arggggg I was able to keep going at least. Watts dropped tho. Still a good effort at 25.8 avg. TT # 2 on the fat bike at 19.4 avg. Yeah! Josh & Howard rode great. 90 degrees is tough. Mooooo!

Fatty JB Tuesday

Fun 1 hour 45 minutes of singletrack with Buz at John Bryan. Hot, but not humid. The trails were killer! 8th day on a row. We will see if I have any legs for tomorrow's MCR TT! Mooooo!

Double Monday

Fun commute on the E-Bike following by a 20 miler from Brookville. Less humidity. Temps were nicer too. 7 days in a row. Nice Summer day!

Weekend Wrap Up

 TT work on Saturday before the heat, I rode T.Bolt's B-Day TT route. Still challenging. Have to do it all out soon. 90 degrees by 9:30 a.m. lol Back on the TT bike for a spin before a fun Cow Country road ride with The Beast, Joshium, & T.Bolt. Pretty good week considering the heat.

Fatty Gravel Friday

Tried to beat the heat in Liberty this morning. That failed. haha Wow temps went up faster than predicted. No wind either. I rode Clockwise today. Some climbing early on then SE to the flat lands. The gravel roads had a fresh coat which made things slower. I had 2 big bottles. I ran out when I pulled back to the truck. 98 degrees at before noon is crazy. LOL

Heat Spin Thursday

Another crazy hot day. I took my 5.9 Madone, Emonda ALR, Speed Concept, & Farley with me. I did laps around Bethel. Fun riding different bikes plus checking my saddle positions too. Crazy I have 3 other fat bikes, 2 more Madone's, an E-bike, 26" MTB, & a retro Trek 560 Road Bike at home too. haha

Late Night Wednesday

 Summer late night rides are the best. Working in the heat all day is exhausting, I went out 11:45 and it was still 83 degrees. haha Fun stuff!

Fatty Tuesday

Back on the bike after a rest day. Well, a heat rest day. Crazy temps. I work in it all day too. Yikes! I met Buz in Urbana at 8:00 for a fatty ride. Temps were still 90. lol We took the SKT South which was shaded. We then took rough rollin' chip n seal roads West to Terre Haute. Fun few hills too. Even hotter tomorrow. Probably a late nighter or rest day. We will see.

Single Track Sunday Video

Single Track Sunday

 Fun trip to Michigan with Joshium. Double ride. # 1 at Potowatomi trails. Never been there, so always fun riding new trails. Fun hills. Josh had his FS working on the downhills. Fat Bikes rule! Ride # 2 back at DTE. So much fun. Love that place. 3 hours 15+ mins with 2,500+ of climbing. Oh yeah, stole it as all the trails here were closed. Moooohaha

Fatty Gravel Saturday

 Back at it after a Friday rest day. Awesome gravel ride with Buz in Liberty. 36+ miles with a few intervals. Great weather, but you could feel the heat & mugginess coming. Next week will be HOT! Always fun hitting those roads. Great job Buz. Good stuff!

Nice being on some single track. Rain is coming too. The legs weren't bad after yesterday. Spin ride, but at good tempo. So sad that Doug passed after being hit by a car this week. Doug and his wife have made JB a killer place. So much time dedicated over the years. Thanks Doug. You will be missed.

Mad Cow Ramble TT # 6

 

Mad Cow Ramble TT # 6 in the books. 87 degrees, but beautiful day. I wasn't feeling great on the warm up.  I started well but after a few miles things got ouchie. lol I fought hard to the line. 25.7 avg. The wind kicked up on the 2nd half so the avg speed was low. Watts looked pretty good tho. Sean is just on 10 more levels. He was flying. Buz & Tebow killed it on the fatties. I did my 2nd TT on the fat bike at 19.1 avg. Great job guys!

Busy day all around, but I had time for a 21 miler on the 5.9 Madone. Recon'd tomorrow's MCR TT route. Awesome afternoon to be on the bike. We'll see how the legs are tomorrow. Slight tweaks to the position. It feels good, but tomorrow will tell the tale.

DD Gravel Race Video

Dirty Donut - Fat Bike Style

 

Fun day at the Dirty Donut Gravel Race in Martin, Michigan, I won the 42 mile fat bike. Mid 60's with sunshine. The wind was howling. I felt pretty darn good. 19.1 avg with 1,500 ft. of climbing. Nice to get in another race as my schedule is limited this year. Yeah!

4 hour drive to Michigan Friday night. Fun shake out ride reconning the start of Saturday's race. Beautiful night with temps in upper 60's.

Fun 2+ hour with Buz on the fat bikes from Buck Creek. Another killer day weatherwise. Put in a KOM gravel effort. Got it! 434 avg watts. We will see if that effort reflects this weekend's race effort. Mooooo!
