Fatty Gravel Fun with Josh completing The Boondoggle Events FKT Winter Challenge in Livingston, Ky. 61.8 miles with 6,600 ft. of climbing. Conditions were not optimal to put down a race time with peanut butter gravel mud. 😳 Like riding with your brakes on. 😂 No worries, the challenge was either race or simply completing it. ✔️ 8 steep major climbs with grades of 15-25%. Green Pond Ridge Road reminded me of Brasstown Bald but shorter thank goodness. Haha Sections that were 30%. Holy Moly. I felt pretty good on the climbs today. Great start to 2025. The weather was awesome with sunshine & 60 degrees. Proud of Josh! Today was tough yet he wouldn’t quit no matter how much he wanted to kill me. 🤣 Nothing like dogs chasing you while climbing. haha Big props to Keith of Boondoggle Events. I’ve done his The Forty 5 race twice. We also raced his Winter Gravel TT a few years ago. Keith knows how to make people suffer. Moohaha! You’ll sleep well tonight Joshium. 😆 We climbed 10,000 ft in two rides this week. Pretty darn good for February. Oh yeah we stopped at Buc-ees twice. Fun stuff!
