Awesome weather kicking off Mad Cow TT # 1. Sunshine & 72 degrees. 10 racers. WOW! First real test on Silver Bullet. 9.7 mile route. We raced this back in June of 2016. Wow! The guys went off one by one then it was my turn. Troy - Urbana East has never been my favorite. 3.4 miles with some testing uphill grinders. Not a bad effort at 300 avg watts. I was 25.3 mph avg at that point. I made the right turn on to Alcony - Conover. I found my line over the bumps to SR 55. 27.3 avg on that section. Right turn on to SR 55 then Westward 3.96 miles to the finish in Casstown. 27.3 mph into the wind at 294 avg watts. I crossed the line with 21:55 at 26.6 mph. Great start to the season. 2nd Place. That was day 5 in a row, so the legs were not fresh. The sensations are there. The bike felt great. Some small fine tuning to do, but nothing major which hampered me the last few years. Great job everyone!
