Rest day Sundat at JB. 1 hour 45 mins of single track with Josh. The legs felt fresh. That's how good of a ride I was on Saturday. The trails were awesome for early morning. Sunshine with temps warmer than Saturday too. Good stuff!

What a difference to yesterday. haha I hot the gravel in Liberty with 64 degrees and lots of wind. The legs felt good today. I did the flat 10 mile gravel route first then rolled North. I set a new KOM on Howard Rd. Not too bad since I raced yesterday. I rode North to the hillier race route. The first road had fresh thick sharp gravel. I made it 2 miles then my rear tire exploded. I hit a sharp rock or something. It left a hole bigger than my thumb. I had to walk 4 miles back to my truck. Arggg. Oh well, I made it back. I'm glad I got in 80 mins at least. The KOM made it ok too. haha

The last week has been like Winter with lots of flooding. The morale has been low for everyone with the weather. Luckily got in 2 races this week. Joshium, The Beast, T.Bolt & I headed to Coshocton Friday. Killer dinner and off to bed early. up at 6 a.m. for breakfast. We rolled to the race about 7 a.m. The park was flooded by the river a bit which lead to 38.5 miles instead of 39.5 miles. 30 degrees when we started. Brrrrrr.
We rolled out of the park then the race was on once we hit the main road. The Beast was with the main pack right away. I looked back to see Howard behind Josh. I kept the speed about 21 mph then dialed the tempo up a bit. We bridged to the front group. A few small bumps. The pace was 22-24 mph. All of a sudden Josh attacked off the front. haha Awesome! He was off a bit too. We hit the first climb which spread things out. Last year I attacked there. I stayed with Josh & Howard. We made it over the first main climb. A few descents were sketchy early on. No mud but conditions were slow rolling. Temps were not going up much either. Luckily I had my Team Voler thermal vest which kept my chest warm, I was dressed right for the conditions.
I hit a steep climb around the 11 or 12 mile mark. From there I attacked to the finish. I didn't feel great but I didn't feel badly either. haha The weather was meh. Only a few minor muddy sections tho. One by one I caught more racers. Last 11 miles were due South which gave a little tailwind. The last climb at the 35 mile mark can go two ways. I felt great again this year. Last few miles rolled fast. I was flying. I rolled into the finish 1st place Fat Bike / 9th Place Overall. 2x winner. Yeah! The Beast lost the sprint for the win. He was 2nd but chip timing placed him 3rd overall. Impressive! Josh stayed with Howard playing the perfect teammate until 10 miles to go. Josh hammered to the finish for 2nd Place Fat Bike / 21st Overall. Howard came in 8 minutes later in 22nd Place Overall. I believe he was 2nd or 3rd place in 60+ on a Fatty. Proud of these guys. The weather was not ideal, but we stampeded it. haha Mooooo!

Another busy day, but the rain rolled in when it was ridin' time. I hit Zwift riding the new Hell of The North route for the warm up. I then raced Zwift TT - Innsbruckring. 5.4 miles with 2 climbs. The legs were tired but overall a good effort for 3rd place. Watts were 20+ lower then with fresh legs, but 2 good nights of racing. Now spin tomorrow resting up for Saturday.
