Coal Country Roubaix yesterday Fatty style. All was great until the 45 / 46 mile mark. I was in the lead of the 100k fat bike plus in a top 15 overall for 100k. I was with the 100 mile fat bike winner Chris when he turned right. The arrows were taken down but I followed him. My garmin said off course. 😳 Turned around but then garmin went crazy. File must have corrupted on upload. 🤷♂️Other 40 milers went right so I followed but that was wrong. I ended up taking other roads back adding on extra 9+ miles. I couldn’t ride across the line not doing the actual course so DNF officially. Ended up with 66+ miles / 8,000 ft. of climbing. Chris, Nick, & Stephen in 100 Mile fat bike class were fast. Nice guys too! Enjoyed riding with them.Positive side, I had a killer race. Felt great. Could have flatted in the first mile and not enjoyed the day. Congrats to Travis & Betsy! Great job Gary on his Fatty in 40 miler. It was great catching up with Joe & seeing Heather. Thanks to the Mayor & all volunteers.🤘
